 Maintenance Manager

For over 25 years Polar Field Services' employees have worked with National Science Foundation-funded scientists to arrange safe, innovative, and efficient polar expeditions. We are currently seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead our growing facilities and equipment maintenance responsibilities.

The PFS Maintenance Manager will oversee the activities associated with the management of the organization’s Maintenance Program and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Maintenance Connection. The Maintenance Manager will also consult directly with our client, requiring outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. The goal is to provide the science community and support personnel with safe, reliable equipment and facilities, while ensuring accurate maintenance and cost records.

The successful candidate must possess 10 or more years of professional experience in facility and equipment maintenance, including 3 - 5 years managing a maintenance program. Experience specifically implementing, using and maintaining a CMMS program is required. Strong computer, written and verbal communications skills are required.

 Project Controls Specialist

For over 25 years Polar Field Services' employees have worked with National Science Foundation-funded scientists to arrange safe, innovative, and efficient polar expeditions. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our team.

The Project Controls Specialist will work with a team of project controls staff who maintain the project controls systems for construction, operations and science activities occurring at various locations throughout the Arctic program. This position will have primary responsibility for the ‘science’ projects controls activities, including planning, coordinating resource allocations and information from multiple science project managers, tracking progress, developing and updating project schedules, and performing a variety of activities related to the project controls system using P6 software.

The successful candidate will possess a BA in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field and 5 years of experience in project controls and scheduling. Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 Professional Project Management software is required. Professional project management certification such as PMP highly desirable.
